It would be noted that Adan enjoyed a brief run in the first team last season under Mourinho after Cassilas felt out with the latter. A statement on the club's website read "Real Madrid CF and Antonio Adan have terminated the contract linking the player to the club. Real Madrid would like to wish him luck for the future and also thank him for his professionalism during his time with us."
